WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Finding a first job is a critical step for newly-arrived refugees. We aim to help every eligible adult refugee secure a full-time job that pays a living wage as soon as possible after arrival. Our team helps refugees gather documents needed for work, create resumes, search for jobs, prepare for interviews, and learn to use public transit to commute. As refugees build skills and experience, our team can help them upgrade jobs.
After refugees get jobs, we provide post-employment counseling to help clients understand benefit packages, health insurance, tax forms and banking—as well as cultural support to employers as needed.
