RefugeeOne’s case management team works with individuals and families to help navigate life in the United States and the Chicago area. Our case managers partner with you to understand your needs, answer questions, and connect you to helpful resources. Whether you’re seeking support with basic needs, referrals to other services, or help planning for long-term goals, our team is here to help.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Support obtaining official identification documents (State ID, Social Security Card, I-94, Employment Authorization Document)
• Change of address support
• General questions about adjusting to life in the U.S./Chicago
• Information about and referrals to community service providers
• Cultural Orientation support
• IDHS public benefits support (SNAP, cash assistance, Medicaid, SSI — including help applying for and maintaining benefits)
• Ongoing support and consultation throughout the resettlement and acclimation process
• Medical support, including scheduling and planning for appointments
• Budgeting support
• Invitations to RefugeeOne trainings, client events, and workshops

RefugeeOne’s employment team partners with you to develop an individualized employment plan and support you along each step of way. Our aim is to help you achieve your career goals and financial stability. We’re here to help you whether you’re seeking immediate employment, a better job, or training opportunities.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Creating resumes
• One-on-one job counseling
• Searching for and applying for jobs
• Referrals to job opportunities at RefugeeOne’s employer partners
• Interview practice
• CTA training
• Referrals to training programs
• Post-employment counseling to help you understand benefit packages, health insurance, tax forms and banking
